Why Lot-Specific Testing Matters

Peptide synthesis and lyophilization are batch processes. Two vials with the same catalog name can come from different lots. A certificate for last year’s lot does not describe this month’s vial.

Lot-specific testing means: identify the batch, run the analytical method, and publish the document that belongs to that batch. When a new lot arrives, the previous COA should be archived — not silently overwritten as if it still applied.

What we do with lots

  • Match product listings to a current COA when a file is on hand
  • Show lot and document year on the product page when we can parse them from the filename
  • Keep replaced certificates in lot history instead of discarding them

If a SKU does not yet have a current COA, we do not invent purity or laboratory names. Contact support or see Quality and Testing. Learn the document fields in How to Read a Peptide COA.

Example cluster: BPC-157 research compound → this article → HPLC purityBPC-157 COA in the library.

Research use only. Lot matching is a documentation step, not a medical claim.
