Lyophilized peptides are typically more stable dry than in solution. Storage still depends on the form you received: sealed powder vial, premixed laboratory pen, compressed tablet, or aqueous diluent.
Lyophilized vials
Keep vials sealed until use. Protect from moisture, heat, and light. Many laboratories store unopened lyophilized material frozen. After reconstitution, follow your institutional protocol and avoid unnecessary freeze–thaw cycles.
Premixed laboratory pens
Aqueous solutions are more sensitive to heat and light. Store as labeled, usually refrigerated. Do not freeze unless the lot documentation says to. Discard if the solution is cloudy or particulate.
Tablets and solutions
Tablets stay in the original closed container at controlled room temperature. Diluents remain sealed until needed. Hardware (pens and cartridges without peptide) is stored clean and dry.
