Use HPLC when you need
- A chromatogram and a relative purity figure for the tested lot
- Lot-to-lot comparison under a stated method
Use LC-MS when you need
- Evidence that the observed mass matches the expected peptide
- Support for sequence-related identity claims beyond a single UV peak
